Heather Lewis (Owner)

Heather Lewis received a Masters of Fine Arts in Dance from ASU 2003. Her professional teaching experience includes modern and jazz dance, yoga and Pilates at many levels to diverse populations from high school to university level. She directed the Dance Department at Westview High school an dhas taught as adjunct faculty at Mesa Community College, Glendale Community College, Scottsdale Community College and as a Faculty Associate at ASU. 

Currently Heather is passionately busy as owner/operator of Maximum Pilates in Phoenix. She remains active in the professional dance community performing with Center Dance at the Herberger Theatre for the 2007 season, A Ludwig Dance Theatre at Tempe Center for the Arts 2003 to present, and is a founding member of the Flux Dance Project.



Jessica Taran

Jessica Taran is currently pursuing her Pilates Certification and is completing her training and apprenticeship at Maximum Pilates. She obtained her Cosmetology License with Kohler Academy in 2007 is the successful owner/operator JT Aesthetics.

Jessica is also currently in the process of completing her Holistic Nutrition and Health Coaching Certificate with INN and an Associates Degree in Business at Scottsdale Community College. She is passionate about her work with clients and hopes to combine many aspects of health and wellness with her knack for business.



Leifann Brownstein

Leifann Brownstein, MA, PMA®-CPT, enjoys helping others discover the restorative properties of good movement by means of the Pilates method while assisting them in their fitness goals. She discovered her passion for Pilates through a long struggle to deal with debilitating back problems and found a way to gain strength and flexibility while eliminating her back pain.

Leifann started practicing Pilates in 2004 and through her Pilates training she found she was able to blend her mind-body practices of martial arts and yoga while gaining strength and alignment from Pilates. Discovering that Pilates has many benefits beyond just the physical self, she strives to share these benefits with others. She completed her mat and equipment teacher training from Pilates Unlimited in June, 2006. Continuing her education, she was nationally certified by the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) in 2008, and has an additional comprehensive instructor training from Pilates Core Integration as well as being a certified ACE group fitness instructor. She has served as a Faculty Adjunct instructor at ASU in yoga, core strength & agility, and Pilates.



Pippa Frame

Pippa Frame studied internationally before earning her high school diploma and Bachelor of Fine Arts in modern dance from North Carolina School of the Arts. She was introduced to both mat and apparatus work as a component of her dance training and conditioning. She danced professionally, produced her own choreography, and worked as a massage therapist for a few years in San Francisco. Pippa lived and danced in London then returned to the states to earn a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from Arizona State University. While at graduate school she studied advanced analysis of movement and Ideokinesis with Pamela Matt. She also became a certified personal trainer through American Council on Exercise in 2001. After graduating in May of 2002, Pippa moved to New York where she danced professionally and worked as a personal trainer in Manhattan. While in New York City, she earned her Mat Pilates certification from the Kane School of Core Integration and a stretch certification through Bally’s. Pippa is also a certified Yogafit instructor and enjoys combining the benefits of Yoga and Pilates. She earned her full Pilates certification through Core Dynamics in August of 2007. Pippa was mentored by Virginia Nicholas and the knowledgeable staff at Moving Breath Studio in Tempe. She was also fortunate to study in Santa Fe with many esteemed teachers such as Michele Larsson, Ruth Alpert, and Celia Hulton. Pippa has attended the Pilates and Rehab Summit annually since it’s creation in 2008. She is inspired by the challenges of working with special populations such as osteoporosis, scoliosis, hip replacement, neurological conditions, and recovery from chronic injuries or pain. She maintains a strong focus on continuing education in order to support her clients as well as feed her passion and enthusiasm for the Pilates method. Pippa became certified in Fascial Stretch Therapy in the Fall of 2010 and is passionate about this work as well as combining it with Pilates.
